Think outside the Box.
Stillness Speaks – Eckhart Tolle
“When you lose touch with your inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself” –Eckhart Tolle, Stillness Speaks.
These were the words that made me truly think, and I consider this should be one of our daily mourning mantras.
For many years, I lived in this world in a “sleeping” condition, believing that Someone of Something is responsible with our happiness. How many of us live their lives thinking like this? I was watching TV, listening to popular radio stations thinking we are all safe with their advices. I thought that my parents, my boyfriend, my friends can be the sources for my joy. One afternoon, a small read got into my hands. It made me open my mind, to meditate and to realize that I am the only responsible for my good vibrational energy, and the ones around me can only amplify my original vibrational frequency.
A small read with a great power, a gold book, a book that makes you truly Think. The author advices you to think and to reflect on the small paragraphs you read in Stillness Speaks. To understand what you read. And if you are not sure that you understood, to re-read the paragraph. And to meditate again on the essence of the words. Stopping and understanding what we read, is more important than the reading process. In fact, we should read this book whenever we feel uncomfortable and feel like we are disconnected from our own purpose in life.
Stillness is our primordial nature. Our inner stillness reflects like a mirror our external stillness.
Listen to the stillness whenever you have the opportunity. Pay attention to the stillness. Listening to stillness wakes up in you the dimension of our inner silence, because you can only be aware of the silence when you just… stay and exist. We should learn and remember the art of respecting the stillness from nature and from animals.
“Wisdom comes with the ability to be still. Just look and just listen. No more is needed. Being still, looking, and listening activates the non-conceptual intelligence within you. Let stillness direct your words and actions.”
― Eckhart Tolle, Stillness Speaks
“When you walk through a forest that has not been tamed and interfered with by man, you will see not only abundant life all around you, but you will also encounter fallen trees and decaying trunks, rotting leaves and decomposing matter at every step. Wherever you look, you will find death as well as life. Upon closer scrutiny, however, you will discover that the decomposing tree trunk and rotting leaves not only give birth to new life, but are full of life themselves. Microorganisms are at work. Molecules are rearranging themselves. So death isn’t to be found anywhere. There is only the metamorphosis of life forms. What can you learn from this? Death is not the opposite of life. Life has no opposite. The opposite of death is birth. Life is eternal.”
― Eckhart Tolle, Stillness Speaks
I don`t think I need to give you more advices about reading this fantastic book. It is a very precious read whether you are at the beginning of your spiritual awakening or in the middle of the Flower of Live, the thrive process. If the educational system truly cares about us, about our children`s spiritual and mental health, they should consider introducing this read in the curriculum.
